  15. Greta Garbo was born Greta Lovisa Gustafsson. She was famous for her acting skill that was polished in the Royal Dramatic Theatre. She was chosen by Mauritz Stiller train her acting skill. It was he who gave her the screen name Greta Garbo. She played in popular silent movies such as The Temptress, Flesh and the Devil, Love, etc. Her on-screen and off-screen romance with John Cecil Pringle (10 July, 1897 - 9 January, 1936) also known as John Gilbert, created quite a stir in the media.

  22. A significant person during Roaring Twenties was Mitchell Palmer. Mitchell Palmer was the U.S Attorney General. He arrested Americans who were communists during the Red Scare, which was the fear of communism in the USA during the 1920’s. His raids were called "Palmer Raids"

  26. F. Scott Fitzgerald was a very significant figure during the Roaring 20s. He wrote " The Great Gatsby". This book inspired many other writers. The Great Gatsby also is used to teach. Fitzgerald also wrote other books like This side of paradise. He inspired and still inspires people to write and make life changing decisions, by just reading his books.

  29. Henry Ford played a BIG part in the Roaring 20's, especially in 1903. He was the founder of Ford Motor Company which boosted the company just in the first week. Before his founding, cars cost a lot but when he founded hi company, Henry sold the cars for less which gave the cars higher demand.

  30. I believe that Warren G. Harding was an important, but not very effective, figure in the Roaring 20s. I think this because he was elected the 29th U.S. president, on his birthday, and served from 1921 to 1923, after World War I. During his term he made campaign promising a "return to normalcy."I also learned that most historians consider Warren G. Harding to be one of America's worst presidents. He is believed to have seen the role of president as mainly ceremonial, leaving government work to subordinates.

He also made the Assembly Line which makes it faster and easier to create objects.(in this case cars.)He even paid workers higher wages and he got all of the better workers than other car companies and wanted to stay with him so they could get a lot of $$. Henry Ford really changed life with his invention of a Ford car.

  50. My person is F. Scott Fitzgerald. He was the person who wrote, and most famously known for, "The Great Gatsby". He published this famous novel. He also wrote, of course, "The Great Gatsby" in 1925, "This Side of Paradise" in 1920, "Tender is the Night"in 1934, which was considered not much of a success, and his final novel, "The Last Tycoon" in 1941.

  53. The Roaring 20's is a special term for the 1920's, which was an economic boost with a small, but noticeable cultural edge, especially in greatly known cities. For example: New York, Paris, Los Angeles. The U.S.A.'s economy actually doubled! Lots of new inventions, such as the traffic light & 3-D movies , actually helped that boost.

  55. Guglielmo Marconi was a Italian inventor, and a electrical engineer known for pioneering work. In 1895 the radio signal was sent to England. This invention was not made in the 1920's but it was very useful.

  77. The 'Roaring 20's' is a fancy term for the Americas in the 1920's. This period of time was when people and names rose to the top and were famous as actors, musicians, singers, athletes, and/or etc.. One very famous actress was Greta Gustafsson. Greta Gustafsson is better known as Greta Garbo in today's world. Greta was a Swedish film actress which rose to fame internationally. She was born September 18, 1905 in Stockholm, Sweden. When she was little, she was a gymnast. However at age 10, she said she wanted to be an actress when she grew up. Garbo was nicknamed the 'Mona Lisa of the Century.' She began her career in Europe before she came to the United States. By age 19, she was an international star. Greta Gustafsson(Garbo) died on April 15, 1990 in NYC, New York.
    (Found Greta Gustafsson and stuck with it because it sounded a lot like Greta's name.
