I think that an interesting battle of the civil war was the battle of Rich Mountain on July, 11,1861. It was in Virginia and the Union won because Virginia's army split up and half ran away leading to the Union with 46 casualties and 300 casualties for the south. The Union leaders were George B. McClellan and William S. Rosecrans, and the southern leaders were Robert S. Garnett and John Pegram.
