i thought the civil war wax musuem was awesome. how all the kids could learn about the important people in the war and learn important facts before the civil war.
I thought the Wax Museum was a success. Although one thing that could be improved was that some of the statues were talking with other statues. Still, the Wax Museum was awesome!
It was fun but there was two kids who have problems. They were coming pushing my button constantly and kicking me. But the kids who wanted to learn were respectful.
If only all kids would listen! At least MOST of the people listening to the wax figures were respectful and actually LISTENING. SOME of the kids just ran around pushing everyones' buttons over and over so that they would keep replaying their speech over and over and over and so on. But, I thought everyone (at least in my area, I don't know about the people i couldn't see) did awesome reciting their speech from memory. I don't think anyone messed up! Overall, I think all the other kids loved the wax figures and The Wax Museum went extremely well!
The wax museum was fun and also very nerve wracking. Every time I would start my speech the kid would just run away. There were also a few kids that would just press my button over and over again, that was annoying. Besides that I had a really good time a the wax museum.
I think the wax museum was amazing and fun but,the younger kids kept pushing my button. The younger kids also left in the middle of my speech. It was a blast but the little kids could have been more considerate.
In my opinion the wax museum was a fun activity. The only problem was the kids kept on pushing my button and some of them walked away in the middle of my speech.Even though it was a hard project it totally payed of in the end. -Sarah Madlem
I think that the Wax Museum was super fun and, Ms.Hall, that you should keep having one, if you still teach social studies. I noticed how some of the students brought notepads with them and were taking notes, which was good. I also had many people comment on my costume, and other people's, so having a nontraditional project was also a fun part. The only part I didn't like was when people would push your button and run away. -Sarah Prevost P.S. Ms.Hall, I think that you should also keep the Chow Down! That was a rely good idea!
I think the wax museum was awesome! I bet the kids learned a lot and I bet they had as much fun as we did. Although there were some rude kids, it was a great success!
i think the wax museum was very successful even though many immature 4th graders and 3rd graders kept trying to be funny. I'm sure many students learned a lot from the museum. -Triston
I thought it was a success. I thought the kids learned a lot which prepared them for 5th grade. but we should have put signs saying only press the button ONCE! -asher
I thought the civil war wax museum was BOSS! The reason I think it was amazing is because we got to dress up in fun and awesome costumes and we got to tell people about are people and I thing it was amazing
The Civil War Wax Museum wasn't great, but instead it was a blast! Everything went well...except for the annoying and frustrating kids that keep pushing your buttons(get it?). Even so, that was not all. Some kids would kick you, run away from you during your speech, or even not paying attention to you. A few took notes on your speech which was great and most kids ACTUALLY paid attention to you which was great too. Overall, the experiment was a blast and mostly everyone(if not everyone) had the time of their lives. ~Coco L.
I thought the wax museum was a success because we got to teach younger students about important people. I also thought it was cool because we go to dress up as our person but next time we should only let the kids press once. Gio
I thought the wax museum was a success because we got to teach younger students about important people. I also thought it was cool because we go to dress up as our person but next time we should only let the kids press once. Gio
I loved the wax museum, It was AWESOME!!!!!!!!! But it did get very stressful at times because you want to remember your lines but you forget them, I think you really have to just let yourself say what you have to say and try not to stress yourself out. Mostly the Wax Museum was great. If Ms. Hall is reading this I think that you should really do this next year too. It was very educational.
I think the wax museum was a success. It was good because you got to teach the younger grades about the Civil War and the effects on it. I think it could improve because the younger grades especially the kindergarten kids would press your button man times and keep on saying start over. Overall, the wax museum was absolutely AWESOME!!!!!! ~Mia Otoski
The wax museum was great and very fun! The only problem was the younger kids (2nd grade and under) kept clicking the buttons over and over and over but I did find a way to solve it- once they clicked it I would take the button away. Another problem was that they would walk away in the middle of our speeches. That I could not fix. And I started to forget the speech during the end of my time then they thought it was the end of my speech and I tried to remember it as fast as I could. But otherwise it was GRRR-EAT and I think you should totally do it next year.
In my opinion, the Wax Museum was amazing not just because we all got to dress up and bring toy props, such as guns and swords, but also we got to teach the younger kids about many different people. I believe that informing the younger kids about the different people who lived during the Civil War was more important than the costumes and props. The costumes were really, in my opinion, to show what the people looked like and how they lived. -Tina
i think that the wax museum was a success. but not 100 percent great. so first the 4th graders would come up to you and just start pressing your button. then some of the children pressed your button and ran off to the next person.and then finally the kids would walk up to your costume and vandalize it. -Connor
The wax museum was a huge success. The only problem was that the little kids kept pushing buttons and running away. Half the time they would just walk away in the middle of my speech. Otherwise that, it was great.
I think the wax museum was pretty great. I would give it 3 out of 5 stars. I had 4 main problems. First off, kids walked away in the middle of my speech. Second of all, the same kids kept coming to me every time. You've got to admit, that can be pretty annoying. Third of all, this kid I know (I'm not naming names) kept interrupting my speech with questions. I mean, couldn't he wait till the end?! Lastly, I got a soar throat. I loved the chow down though!!! All in all it was pretty great! ~Losha Roof
I thought the Civil War Wax Museum was awesome except for a couple of things. First, some the little kids would rapidly push my button and once they stopped they would listen to half of my speech and walk away. >:( Second, in my costume it was burning. Then otherwise it was great. (especially the feast). ~MICHAEL :|)
I think that the wax museum was good and not so good. I think that it was good because you got to teach kids about your person and their experience in the war. Also, I think it was good because it improved your public speaking. I think that it was not so good because kids would press your button and walk away. Also, kids would interrupt you in the middle of your speech to ask you a question that was not related to what you were doing. Overall, the wax museum was fun but got annoying by some kids. ~Annie
I thought the wax museum was an awesome idea. I thought it was great making our own speeches and dressing up like our person. I loved talking to the kids and teaching them about the Civil War and the impact it had on the United States, but on the other hand SOME of the kids were interrupting and leaving in the middle of your speech. This project also taught us a little about how to speak in front of other people. Overall the Wax Museum was a success.
I thought the Wax Museum was great but other times it was the opposite of great. I think this was a great idea to dress as someone and pretend you are that person. I had fun doing it but it was also annoying. Mostly the older grades would not care. They press your button then walk away, poke you, interrupt you and do all crazy things. The younger graders actually acted like they had more sense. They would stand there and listen. But overall the Wax Museum was probably the coolest thing I did at school! I think this should happen next year, so other kids can experience it as well.
I think the wax museum was awesome! I think it was such a great idea. I think it would have gone smoother if we had a little more time. Like others have mentioned, i had kids leave in the middle of my speech, but it was because their classes were leaving. I think if they had more time to look around, it might have gone better. Some people interrupted and asked me questions, but I still really enjoyed the experience. I think that was fun to work on my own speech. -Aisling
I believe the wax museum was awesome! It was fun to interact and act to be a character from the Civil War. I enjoyed learning about the Civil War. The food after the museum was exceptionally delicious. Kids left in the middle of my speech and some kids pressed my buttons repeatedly and repeatedly. I am glad we got do the Wax Museum because I think of it as a reward to studying the Civil War.
i think the wax museum was fun and good for the kids we invited. But next year for the wax museum we should make rules so things dont get out of hand.- #$james$#
I though the wax museum was okay. It was fun saying our speech but the kids *cough* 4th graders *cough* kept spamming my button and left in the middle of my speech. My favorite part was when my neighbors came and helped me by bringing their friends over to me to hear my speech.
It was awesome!! I loved telling my speech to INTERESTED kids. I think the food was the best part. I loved learning about the Civil War and everything that happened during it. I would definitely do it again.
The Wax Museum was bad because kids kept on poking my button and it really hurt. They also left in the middle of my speech. It was good because I got to share a lot of information. The Wax Museum had its good and bad points. - Parker Pape
I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it. Little kids would come over and push my button a million times and then in the middle of the speech, they would just leave. They din't seem interested at all. They just stared. The good thing was that after saying my speech about 10 times, I finally memorized it completely! I'm just glad I don't have to freak about memorizing my speech anymore! :D
The Wax Museum wasn't the best day of my life, but it wasn't the worst either. My feet and throat got very sore, but I enjoyed teaching the little kids about Harriet Beecher Stowe. Some kids that listened to my speech were obviously bored and not interested, but at least nobody left in the middle of my speech. The best part of Wax Museum Day was the chowdown, I know we can all agree on that... ~Annabelle Craven
It was so awsome!!!! Realy beacause I got to lay down, talk, and miss all my classes (no affence). Ater that, I just ate and watched movies!! Lastly Bella, Ryan ,and Sierra stuffed cupcakes in my face!
I thought the wax museum was really fun but a little too long. It was so fun to tell little kids about Robert E. Lee but I think 30 minutes would be a little better. Dressing up was probably my favorite part! I definently loved it!
In my opinion the Wax Museum was a sensation!!! All of our costumes were great, along with the speech, just fantastic! Though all of us were amazing, some of the smaller kids would leaves in the middle of my speech, keep touching my props, and asking me ridiculous questions when I wasn't done speaking, that's my only con. It was a great experience for me, I could actually talk to someone without sweaty palms, or my heart pounding out of my chest, the costumes were a great help too.
The was museum was so fun (besides the fact that I had to hold my left arm behind my back the whole time!!!) it was really cool. Everyone's costumes looked great! I enjoyed informing people about my person... STONEWALL JACKSON! It was also a great experience to learn and memorize the speeches to pretend like we were that person. Ms.hall should totally do it next year with the upcoming 5th graders (right now 4th graders) Overall, I enjoyed it and thought it was awesome. -Bella
The Civil War Wax Museum was awesome! There were some problems wit little kids pushing the button and leaving. Everyone's customs were amazing! This was a very successful year! -Harper
It was good but I don't think any of the kids were very interested. Some of the people in the middle of my speech would just walk away and not come back Seba
I thought that the Wax Museum was very successful. Everyone dressed up nicely and memorized their speech. I thought that a lot of the kids were being disrespectful to a lot of us. Some people pressed my button so many times that they got in trouble by their teacher. Although some of the younger kids weren't being very nice, I thought the Wax Museum went really well.
I think the Wax Museum was great! (In my area at least. I don't know about everywhere else.) Most of us had our speech memorized & those who didn't had a clever way of hiding their notes. Our costumes were all believable, too. Some kids were really interested in Frederick Douglass (played by Yours Truly), but I had the feeling they were whispering things about me behind my back. It felt like I switched spots with a 5th grader at the Wax Museum I went to when I was in 3rd grade. Even though at the end I was sweaty, itchy, out of breath, numb in the legs, & thirsty, I think the Wax Museum was a huge learning success; for us & the younger kids.
I thought that the wax museum was awesome!! The costumes were outstanding and most of us had our speeches memorized. Ms.Hall an the parents did a great job at planning! The chow down after was a great idea and we are so lucky to be the first 5th graders to experience the chow down. My only con was that some kids would come up to you press your button and JUST LEAVE in the middle of your speech. But overall I thought the wax museum was AWESOME!!!
Even though i did not have a costume as Jeb Stuart it was pretty neat the only part i did not like was when the kids kept pushing the button over and over again it was not funny even though they were laughing it was cool looking at all the costumes i over heard a couple of speeches they were very interesting it was fun teaching kids the history of Jeb Stuart but then kids kept saying i was dead i should not be here that was interrupting my speech it got me mad but i could handle it then i started to get tired so me and a freind went back to the class room i want to do it agian
think that the Civil war wax museum was extremely awesome. I love the idea and I think it was great, thank Ms. Hall and some parents. But I had few problems with some rude and nonconsiderate students. My main problem that really affected me was that a group of kids came and started insulting me and then KICKED ME IN THE SHIN which really hurt and then I said my speech about 7 times to that group and in the middle of my 8th they left to torture someone else. But the rest of the Kids just left in the middle of my speech. I understand them leaving because they can get really bored, I remembered when I was in 3rd grade I think i skipped a few. But the rest was really good because we got to teach younger kids for 5th grade and all the work behind that was fun but a little time consuming. But in the museum some guys didn't have theirs memorized which Kinda embarrassed me. Also the parents and teachers really appreciated us. It was a wonderful idea.
I think the Wax Museum was really good. I had a blast telling people about Ulysses S. Grant. I know everyone keeps talking about how people kept pushing their button and running away, but that didn't really happen to me. I especially loved the chow down! -KMD
I thought the Wax Museum was very interesting and fun. Though I didn't really like how Ms.Hall and Mr.Mckie's class didn't get to go see the other class perform. The speeches though that I heard the day before were very interesting. The costumes were also really good and creative. I also overheard some speeches that sounded very interesting. I really liked the Chow Down after the Wax Museum. The only part that disliked about it was when the little kids kept pressing your buttons over and over again and kept disrupting you when you were talking. Though some of the kids were annoying I thought the Wax Museum was a huge success for the 5th Grade. I loved teaching younger kids about the history of Abraham Lincoln who was a very important person in the Civil War.
It was good, but exhausting. During the Wax Museum, people were multi-clicking and stealing our "push me!" button. Hopefully the people will be more mature the next year it happens.
The Civil War wax Museum was a great experience. Although one kid came up and punched me and it really hurt. Another kid peeled of my sticker and put it one my forehead, but overall it was a lot of fun. - Lexi W.
I think the Wax Museum was fairly tedious. This was because I have a slight knee pain and it hurt to stand for too long. Other than that, the party at the end was really fun.
I thought the wax museum was really fun. :) It was an amazing idea. The fact that more than half of the 5th graders memorized their speeches was unbelievable! It was kind of tiring :( I loved the chow down and dressing up. I never had to say malfunction!!!!!! That is what I thought of the wax museum. - Lucy G :):):):):):):)
I think the Wax Museum was fairly tedious. This was because I have a slight knee pain and it hurt to stand for too long. Other than that, the party at the end was really fun.
I also think the Civil Wax Museum was really fun. Even though there were some times where kids got a little physical and punched me but other then that it was really fun and I liked the chow down. -Owen
its good to show kids how we fought for freedom.and we won and gained what was right.the wax museum was an amazing way to show that.there were some people who just don`t care and walked away during a speech or kept on pressing the button way too many times but it was a good experience for the 5th graders and others.in my opinion it was awesome. -john gotham
I thought the wax museum was awesome. One of the kids loved my Southern accent. I thought all of the speeches were great and hope that the next generation of 5th graders enjoy it! All of the costumes were great too! Overall the Civil War was a success! - Isabella Luz
The wax museum,Well my opinion was that we did a GREAT job and it was really fun. But it was a little bit boring & it needs to be either a shorter time or we need chairs. But it was the one of the most fun thing I have done in 5th grade. -Peyton
The Wax Museum was amazing, it would've been nice if we could've been longer. Honestly there should've been a rule where you can't walk away before a person is done with their first sentence. This happened to me at least four times, oh yeah this isn't a complaint list. Overall, the Wax Museum was really, really, really fun! -Salter
I think the wax museum was fun! As far as button abuse, that was REALLY annoying! I don't like how the kids just walk away in the middle of your and press the button halfway through the speech. Other than that it was fun. The chow-down was delicious !
I think the Wax Museum was great but then not the best. First it was really good because you can teach kids at all ages about the Civil War (kinda of). The very little thing that happened in the Civil War, with just 90 kids. But then it wasn't so great because you had to recite your speech like 50 ti es and then you got tounge tied or even distracted. But besides this, the Wax Museum was great for kids all ages. ~Sierra

ReplyDeleteMs.hall should totally do it next year with the upcoming 5th graders (right now 4th graders)
Overall, I enjoyed it and thought it was awesome.

The Civil War Wax Museum was awesome! There were some problems wit little kids pushing the button and leaving. Everyone's customs were amazing! This was a very successful year!
ReplyDelete-Harper
It was good but I don't think any of the kids were very interested. Some of the people in the middle of my speech would just walk away and not come back
ReplyDeleteSeba
Really? Lots of kids stayed until the end of my speech. Maybe yours was too long (no offense or anything).
DeleteThat was Noah by the way.

ReplyDelete_JASON :{)
Not everyone memorized their speech.
Delete-Noah Fasil Muche
I think the Wax Museum was great! (In my area at least. I don't know about everywhere else.) Most of us had our speech memorized & those who didn't had a clever way of hiding their notes. Our costumes were all believable, too.
ReplyDeleteSome kids were really interested in Frederick Douglass (played by Yours Truly), but I had the feeling they were whispering things about me behind my back.

Even though i did not have a costume as Jeb Stuart it was pretty neat the only part i did not like was when the kids kept pushing the button over and over again it was not funny even though they were laughing it was cool looking at all the costumes i over heard a couple of speeches they were very interesting it was fun teaching kids the history of Jeb Stuart but then kids kept saying i was dead i should not be here that was interrupting my speech it got me mad but i could handle it then i started to get tired so me and a freind went back to the class room i want to do it agian

that is a very long essay

think that the Civil war wax museum was extremely awesome.

DeleteI think the Wax Museum was really good. I had a blast telling people about Ulysses S. Grant. I know everyone keeps talking about how people kept pushing their button and running away, but that didn't really happen to me. I especially loved the chow down! -KMD
ReplyDeleteI thought the Wax Museum was very interesting and fun.

I agreed with you Rodrigo the Wax Museum was pretty great.

I really liked the Chow Down to Keegan.

ReplyDeleteIt was good, but exhausting.

I was not at the wax museum because I was sick. Even though I wasn't there it sounded awesome from what I heard.

I think the Wax Museum was fairly tedious. This was because I have a slight knee pain and it hurt to stand for too long. Other than that, the party at the end was really fun.

Ava what happened to the bottom of yours????????
DeleteI thought the wax museum was really fun. :) It was an amazing idea. The fact that more than half of the 5th graders memorized their speeches was unbelievable! It was kind of tiring :( I loved the chow down and dressing up. I never had to say malfunction!!!!!! That is what I thought of the wax museum.

Ava your reply 2 before this has a little been of wacky coding madness at the end :).
DeleteI also think the Civil Wax Museum was really fun. Even though there were some times where kids got a little physical and punched me but other then that it was really fun and I liked the chow down.
ReplyDelete-Owen
its good to show kids how we fought for freedom.and we won and gained what was right.the wax museum was an amazing way to show that.there were some people who just don`t care and walked away during a speech or kept on pressing the button way too many times but it was a good experience for the 5th graders and others.in my opinion it was awesome.
ReplyDelete-john gotham
I thought the wax museum was awesome. One of the kids loved my Southern accent. I thought all of the speeches were great and hope that the next generation of 5th graders enjoy it! All of the costumes were great too! Overall the Civil War was a success!
ReplyDelete- Isabella Luz
I thought the wax museum was fun but boring. The kids loved my huge mustache. The wax museum needs to be shorter.
ReplyDeleteBrady
The wax museum,Well my opinion was that we did a GREAT job and it was really fun. But it was a little bit boring & it needs to be either a shorter time or we need chairs. But it was the one of the most fun thing I have done in 5th grade.
ReplyDelete-Peyton
I wish I could be there!!! I bet everyone did great!! I did make a film I hope you enjoy.See you on Monday!
ReplyDelete-Raina
The Wax Museum was amazing, it would've been nice if we could've been longer. Honestly there should've been a rule where you can't walk away before a person is done with their first sentence. This happened to me at least four times, oh yeah this isn't a complaint list. Overall, the Wax Museum was really, really, really fun!
ReplyDelete-Salter
I think the wax museum was fun! As far as button abuse, that was REALLY annoying! I don't like how the kids just walk away in the middle of your and press the button halfway through the speech. Other than that it was fun. The chow-down was delicious !
ReplyDeleteJasmine
WOW

I think the Wax Museum was great but then not the best. First it was really good because you can teach kids at all ages about the Civil War (kinda of). The very little thing that happened in the Civil War, with just 90 kids. But then it wasn't so great because you had to recite your speech like 50 ti es and then you got tounge tied or even distracted. But besides this, the Wax Museum was great for kids all ages.
ReplyDelete~Sierra
IT WAS AWESOME! I loved it! Even if little kids kept pushing my button OVER AND OVER.....
